In doing so, we comply with the applicable provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the German Telecommunications-Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG), the German Digital Services Act (DDG) and other data protection regulations.

1 What is personal data?

The controller within the meaning of the BDSG and GDPR and, at the same time, the service provider within the meaning of the DDG is BioControl Jena GmbH; please also refer to our legal notice (Imprint). 3 Collection and processing of anonymous data by your internet browser

Our website primarily serves to provide information; therefore, it is generally not necessary for you to provide personal data. Our webpages do not contain social bookmarks or active social media plugins (e.g. from LinkedIn or X), but only conventional text or graphic links to our profiles on the respective platforms. 8 Transfer of data to third parties and right to data portability

You may exercise your right to data portability with respect to the data stored about you at any time. We will provide the data, within our temporal and technical capabilities, in a standardized, machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR).

9 Security

We have implemented extensive technical and organizational security measures (e.g. SSL/TLS encryption of data transmission) to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. Our security procedures are regularly reviewed and adapted to technological progress.

10 Rights of access, rectification, restriction, objection and erasure

We will gladly provide you with free information on whether and which personal data about you is stored with us (Art. 15 GDPR). Subject to the conditions of the GDPR and the BDSG, you also have the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), objection (Art. 21 GDPR) and erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR).

11 Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

If you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes applicable data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

The competent supervisory authority for the federal state of Thuringia is the Thuringian State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (TLfDI).
