BioControl's Intelligent Technologies cover fuzzy technology, neural networks, machine learning, data mining and knowledge based systems in order to carry out biodata and bioprocess analysis and to provide software and strategies for bioprocess optimization.

Applications

BioControl has been applying its intelligent technologies to a number of different bioprocesses.

These include the optimization of fermentation processes in pharmaceutical industry, the optimization of processes in environmental biotechnology, in particular biological wastewater treatment, the optimization of processes in the brewing industry, in particular mashing, yeast management and fermentation and also patient treatment processes in medicine, in particular hemodialysis.

Why do BioControl's intelligent technologies allow for the optimization of bioprocesses in so many different fields?

Because BioControl's methods allow for a high level of abstraction from the particular process and can therefore be adapted to describe a wide range of different bioprocesses. On the other hand, an appropriate abstraction still requires substantial knowledge of the biological aspects of the process, which is an essential part of BioControl's know-how.
